A typical 1950s Dutch corner house has been transformed into a light-filled home connected to the garden. An extension at the rear—housing the dining area—draws light deep into the house, while the front seating area is finished in darker tones of loam plaster (leem), creating a warm contrast.
The renovation brings the house up to contemporary technical standards, using biobased wood fibre insulation, wooden window frames, underfloor heating and electric cooking. The upper floor was also updated with a new bathroom and spacious wooden staircase. Old bricks salvaged from the original house were reused in the facade of the extension.
